I'm using Norton Ghost v 14 and I'm trying to create an independant disk image of my laptop (Vaio running Vista) on an external (Seagate Free Agent GoFlex 2 TB) drive.
I ran this backup the beginning of January with no problems. Now I get to about 50% of the disk image completed and the backup fails with the following error message:
Error e7c300f running job: Vaio independant disk image.
Error E7C3000F: Device \\?\SymantecSnapshot0 cannot read 12288 sectors starting at LBA 437955272. --Error EBAB03F1: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
I haven't used the external drive since the January backup. Has it started to fail? Or are there bad sectors and not enough space for the disk image to be written on it? An independant disk image uses about 275GB of space and there's 750GB free on the external.
