Installed a Samsung 840 SSD onto a new machine and cloned the win7 ultimate OS mirror raid array from the old machine onto it. All comes up and when drivers installed all works fine.
Would like to make a Ghost 15 system image as a backup for the SSD. However that doesn't appear to be possible as the drive doesn't appear in the drive list that can be backed up - actually the hidden DATA portion of the SSD does appear as the C drive but the actual file system does not. Running Analyze does show the DATA portion as C and the file system portion as G - I suspect that the D drive shown under Analyze may well be the boot partition on the SSD.
This is kind of surprising as Samsung include a link to the Ghost 15 trial ISO and suggest that as a backup method for their SSD.
It's possible this may be an issue with the SSD as I cannot back it up with Win 7 Backup and Restore either - fails with an I/o error on either source or destination whenever I try. I did speak to another Ghost 15 user who also has the same issue when trying to back up his SSD mirror array.
Are SSD images supported using Ghost 15 ??
