Installed Norton Utilities 15 and immediately installed all updates. Attempted to compress the registry and then rebooted the computer. Computer would not reboot and windows could not find the problem. Attempted to restore the registry to an earlier version. Earlier versions were available but could not restore. Drive C: message "Enable drive protection". Used different computer to find a manual solution online which required manually restoring backup registry files while in system repair. Unacceptable!
