I have a Toshiba Satellite P855-S5200 laptop which I bought in summer 2012. It came with Toshiba Security Dashboard pre-loaded (unknown to me).
I have been having trouble with Kaspersky Anti-Virus suddenly dropping out ever since I shifted from version 2012 to 2013. Kaspersky Support believes the reason is due to Symantec products installed on my laptop and advise me to remove them.
When I click on the program in Start -> All Programs -> Toshiba Security Dashboard, I am told that the program is not installed and urged to install the program.
When I go to Start -> Control Panel ->All Control Panel Items -> Programs and Features -> Uninstall or Change a program and double click on Toshiba Security Dashboard I am first given a message that product removal is about to begin and asked to click on Next. After clicking on Next a window showing a rotating icon appears with a message “Preparing to Uninstall, please wait…”. I have waited for up to 3 hours for something more to happen, but it never does. I have to use Task Manager to shut off this process.
Any ideas on how to un-install this program? Thanks!
