Is there any solution to the conflict between HSP and MagicJack? HSP destroys MJ and sends the computer into an endless script error loop. Spent three hours tonight on customer service chat to no avail.
Again: I cannot open a file mit .GHO extension. I made it in about 2004. Now I havenot the program any more. I got here the advice, to use the GHOST manager. I clicked on the file, the file vanished. It was not possible, to open the for me very important file. Hopefully I will gor a solution. Otto
When I run "Clean Registry" it detects 38 problems with "HKEY_Local_Machine\software\macfee\..... When I click on "repair" Norton does not repair them.
What is the problem? What do I need to do?.
I am trying to clone my hard drive to samsung hdd using norton ghost 15. and getting below error.

anyone any thoughts? it is frustrating i spent 50 bucks for this software and the error message it gives is useless.
Steps I have followed: (I have windows 7 machine)
When installation is completed, restart the computer & try to get into "Ghost".
The computer thinks a while and has the following message - VProConsole Error - Error in Main Configuration system failed to initialize.
Have tried to install & install again - same error message.
Can anyone have any idea to overcome this?

I have desktop PC and Win7 and today I get new Samsung 830 SSD - 256 GB and I tryed to copy - clone (via Norton Ghost 15) my old system disk - Samsung HDD 500 GB (about 116 GB full - cleaned and defragged). At the end i see this message:

My new SSD doesen't have partitions. I have latest version of Ghost. Do you have any ideas how to migrate system with apps to new disk?
well it seems like symantics doesnt care about its customers. norton ghost doesnt work in windows 8 and e-mail to support hasnt been answered.seems like the company has gone downhill, we used to get answeres pretty quick now all I see is sales oriented. well just to let u know i have dumped all my norton antivirus (and I have quite a few) and will not renew as i have gone with another supplier.also will look for another supplier of backup software.I've been with symantec for a long long time and am very dissapointed in your performance in solving norton ghost problem
I started a deep defrag using NU16. It gets to about 85% complete then starts over. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions to fix?

For some reason I cannot get Smart Defrag to turn on. I can set a time, but the dashboard still shows it as off. After all scans I am instructed to do a manual defrag. Never had this type of issue with previous versions. What am I missing?

I am using the trial version of Norton Ghost that came with a new SSD that I purchased.
I am trying to back up my old HDD to my new SSD. Ideally, I would like to copy my programs, program data, documents, pictures, etc. to the new drive and wipe the old one. i.e., I want to clone the old drive.
I have downloaded 15.0 SP1 and cannot get the process started. The two issues that I have noticed so far:
1. Manage Backup Destination: There are no drives available to select here.
2. If I try to define a new backup:
a. First, I create a new folder on my new drive like "E:BackupHDD"
b. Then Run or Manage Backup -> Backup Destination (select the path above)
c. Then "Custom"
d. Select "C:\" to backup (including subfolders and all files)
e. Select the backup destination again and "Next>" to start
f. I get an error "Cannot save backup properties"
- Error E1AD78A5: Cannot save backup properties
-- Object reference not set to an instance of an object
I am just wanted to know what Norton Utilities does that 360 does not do ?
Also, what so new about the new Norton Utilities Dashboard ? Its seems like a tweeked UI of the old one.

I want to change out my primary drive and copy the entire drive to a new one. I have the new drive installed as the slave at the moment but when I try to use Ghost it doesn't show the drive. What am I doing wrong?

Having downloaded Norton Ghost 15 from Norton Website, I have once a week backed up my Win 7/64 Notebook to a external Hard Drive, How do I back up my programs and other files to my new Notebook.
it would be a nice feature..
also with the ability to update with current updates like inadyn will be a strong feauture in router level !

I had to reinstall NIS and also Norton utilities (it was added to NIS 2011), but I cannot activate Norton Utilities,
because the code is not ok? Was this addon also only for 1 year? (I bought a new NIS 2012 because this was cheaper than upgrade!).
